Scottish Environment LINK, the forum for Scotland's voluntary environment community, has published 'Environment and the Economy: Helping Scotland to Flourish', a discussion paper making a strong plea for a re-definition of the core purpose of government to focus on sustainable wellbeing.
The Irish Government is to embark on a public consultation on the implementation of its Charities Act, to be "published towards the end of the year". This should cover the setting up of a Charities Regulatory Authority, the statutory registration of charities and the information that registered charities would be required to submit annually.
