Learn how to train your volunteers and develop your own mentoring and befriending knowledge

Aims
- To introduce you to the MBF resource that covers the basics of volunteer training
- To explore training frameworks to suit your own programme and the needs of your volunteers
Audience
- Project co-ordinators or trainers for mentoring or befriending programmes of any size with little or no prior experience of delivering training for volunteer mentors or befrienders
Learning outcomes
- Increased understanding of the importance of learning styles when delivering training
- Increased knowledge of the key elements of mentor and befriender training
- Increased understanding on how to practise and appraise a range of activities appropriate for your training
- Increased clarification of different levels and methods of training evaluation
Trainer biography
MBFs own regional co-ordinators deliver this course. All are experienced trainers and have extensive background in mentoring and befriending provision.
