Optimism across social enterprises
The recent Social Enterprise Day (19th November) saw the publication of results from the first 'State of Social Enterprise' survey. The picture was of optimism and growth, particularly when compared with other businesses.

Minister for the Third Sector Angela Smith also announced the second phase of the Social Enterprise Action Research Programme, which allows other government departments to explore ways in which social enterprises offer solutions to policy problems. This phase bring in the Department for Energy and Climate Change and the Department of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs for the first time. OTS news.
