National Planning Policies
Under the new planning laws (England and Wales), the first draft National Policy Statements have been published, setting out the national need for particular types of infrastructure, in this case Energy and Ports.
Planning Aid is working with individuals and communities "to help them understand and have an effective voice in the consultation", and has produced a set of leaflets to help. See http://www.nationalpolicystatements.org.uk. Consultations run to 15th or 22nd February.
