I am a serving Prison Officer
I am a serving Prison Officer in HMP Magilligan County Londonderry,we are currently looking for ways to give Inmates Constructive Activities to encourage them to comply with the Progressive Regimes, and to keep them active on a daily basis,I am trying to get in touch with any charity that might require help in the assembly of articals relating to thier fund raising,as in assembling Poppies or something along these lines. The reason I am trying to find Charities that could possibly use our services is because the work carried out by Inmates must be of a non profit making nature.
Could you possibly give me a list of charities that require help in producing items. We recently were making Poppies for thier appeal, this is now unfortunately come to an end and we need to try and replace this activity.
This is obviously an in house project, with the component parts delivered to the Prison and then assembled by the Inmates.
The standard of any work carried out is of a very high standard and large quantities can be produced.
If there is any help or information
you could forward to me to pass to tme Prison Management for consideration I would be very grateful indeed.
Yours sincerely,
Officer G.Maguire
