Connecting advisers to client benefit records
Connecting the IT systems of Citizens Advice to the Government Gateway should be complete by the end of 2007, enabling advisers to view individual client records held by the Department for Work and Pensions, check entitlement and perform job searches.
E-Government Bulletin reports that the DWP will then look at 'deeper services', but also using the Citizens Advice model to give organisations such as RNIB, RNID, Help The Aged and Care UK the same facilities.
